About Piedmont Facilities Management

Piedmont Facilities Management (PFM) was established in 2001 to fill a void in the marketplace for repair work and maintenance of existing buildings - both commercial and residential.

The core business for PFM is providing a full range of high quality services to help building owners keep their investment maintained and usable. This includes class A commercial buildings, small businesses, large residential & estates, multi-family housing, parking structures, government buildings and a large variety of other buildings. PFM offers strategies to give the owner peace of mind about the upkeep of their facilities, respond to their tenants’ demands, and preserve their capital investment.

Once on board, PFM inspects the condition of a building on a regular basis and fixes routine items, while making recommendations for repair of larger items, and long-term capital improvement budgets. Through a program of regular inspections, preventative maintenance checklist, management of specialty maintenance contractors (i.e. mechanical, fire alarm, security, sprinkler, and elevator), and 24 hour emergency repair service, PFM is the only full service building maintenance provider operating in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

PFM is filling a vital need in the marketplace. After opening their doors with only two mechanics, they have grown to fifteen full time mechanics.
